We, i.e., VE Commercial Vehicles Limited, (hereinafter referred to as “We” / “us” / “our” / “VECV”) respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your Personal Data.

This Privacy Notice applies to any Personal Data collected by us through your interaction with us through our customer facing websites & mobile applications, including but not limited to customer platforms, authorised dealers, service centres, call centres, campaigns, events, transport/fleet channels, or any other company-approved touchpoints.

For the purposes of this Privacy Notice, Personal Data shall mean and include any information or piece of information that could identify you by itself or in combination with each other or an identifier that helps to identify you including your name, phone number, email ID, IP address and / or location.

Where you provide personal data of another person, such as a driver, co-applicant, employee, family member or a business contact, the responsibility of ensuring that such person has been informed of the sharing / provision of their personal data to VECV,  would lie with you. You are advised to ensure that you are duly authorised by such person(s) for sharing their personal data and have informed them of the manner in which VECV will process their personal data and the rights that they have in respect thereto.

All statements in this Privacy Notice apply to you and you are expected to read and understand the Privacy Notice.

3. What personal data We collect

Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect:

• Name, gender, age, date of birth, mobile number, email ID and postal address;
• Company name, designation and business contact details;
• City, state, location, preferred dealer or service centre;
• Vehicle details such as model, registration number, chassis number, service history, warranty and AMC details;
• Enquiry, booking, test drive, service request, complaint or feedback details;
• Finance, loan, exchange or payment-related details where required;
• Driver, fleet, transporter or route-related details where needed for service, safety, vehicle monitoring or support;
• Website/app usage information such as device details, IP address, cookies and browsing activity;
• Call, SMS, WhatsApp, email or other communication records with us;
• Government issued identification documents / details (such as PAN or Aadhaar Card), depending on the nature of the services being availed by you.
• Documents or information you voluntarily upload or share with us.

The above list is inclusive and not exhaustive. We collect only the Personal Data needed for the purpose, for which it is collected. In general, you may visit our website without revealing any Personal Data. However, for availing the services of VECV, You may be required to voluntarily furnish your Personal Data, and prior to collection of your Personal Data you will be notified of the type of Personal Data that is required to be provided by you as provided under this Privacy Policy.

• Through our authorised dealers, service centres, sales teams, Dealer Sales Executives, call centres or business partners;
• Through transporters, fleet owners, financiers, body builders, Direct Selling Agents, vendors or other authorised partners;
• Through vehicle systems, service systems, diagnostics tools or connected platforms, where applicable;
• Through cookies and similar technologies on our websites or apps.

By initiating contact with VECV through any of the channels / methods as specified under this Privacy Notice or by availing services from or through VECV, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Notice and expressly and affirmatively consent to the processing of your Personal Data in the manner described under this Privacy Notice. In the event you withdraw your consent for the processing of your Personal Data, VECV may not be able to provide you with certain or all services in a comprehensive manner

Wherever required as per applicable law, you will be provided with a specific notice for obtaining your explicit consent for sharing / processing of your Personal Data by VECV.

This Privacy Policy is to be read together with the terms of the said specific consent notice(s) and / or the terms of use of the website / mobile application (or any other digital touch points of VECV) establishing the use, disclaimers, and limitations of liability governing the use of such digital touchpoints.

5. Why we use your Data

We use your Personal Data for the following purposes:

            A. Enquiry, booking and customer support

We use your data to:

However, for any data loss or theft due to unauthorized access to your electronic devices through which you avail the services including the services listed in the Terms of Use, VECV shall not be held liable for any loss whatsoever incurred by you. You may note that VECV endeavours to ensure that its vendors, service providers and third party agencies agree to implement all market practices and security policies to control from unauthorised access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorised modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss of the Personal Data. However, VECV bears no liability for any loss whatsoever in case of any data loss or theft from the custody of the third parties and its affiliates.

VECV will restrict access to your Personal Data to VECV’s employees and partners who need to know that information in order to operate , develop, provide or improve our services.

Sometimes we may receive your personal data from authorised dealers, DSEs, transporters, fleet owners, body builders, financiers, DSAs, vendors or other partners.

When this happens, we use the data only for defined business purposes such as enquiry, service, booking, finance, vehicle support, safety, warranty or customer relationship management.

Where marketing communication is involved, we will rely on your marketing consent or preference, as applicable.

9. Children’s Personal Data

Our websites, apps and services are not intended for children.

If any product, service or safety feature involves Personal Data of a child, we will handle such data carefully and in accordance with applicable law, including consent requirements where applicable.

16. Who is the Data fiduciary of Your Data including Personal Information?

In cases where your Personal Data is collected by and for VECV through any of the channels provided under this Privacy Notice, VE Commercial Vehicles Limited, is the Data Fiduciary of Your Personal Data in such cases.

Where you wish to avail facilitatory services through VECV and VECV is collecting your Personal Data for availing any services of any third party (for e.g., insurance providers, financiers and/or third party service providers), then such third party would be the Data Fiduciary.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time, in compliance with the Applicable Laws, including but not limited to Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 and any other applicable regulations as may be modified from time to time.

The latest version will be made available on our website or app. If there are important changes, we may inform you through suitable communication channels.
